5 Reasons to start looking forward to summer
It may still be spring, but there’s nothing stopping you from getting that summer feeling early! Here are 5 things to make you want to put your sandals and shades on immediately…
1. The distinctive, extremely delicious smell of a British Summer Barbeque.
If you don’t know already, we’ve got our new BBQ menu all set up and ready for the sunny days ahead of us. So get your taste buds tingling for the taste of Aubrey Allen’s Bourbon BBQ Dandy Ribs, Hanging Halloumi and Mediterranean Vegetable Skewers and Sizzling King Prawn Skewers! Keep your eyes peeled for daily specials; there may be a BBQ inspired dish on the menu to give you that first taste of summer.
2. That first glass of a traditional summer Pimms…
No British summer would be complete without a glass (or jug!) of everybody’s mutually favourite summer beverage, Pimms. Lucky for you, we’re also offering an alternative of the classic – introducing ‘Sipsmith Summer Cup’. With hints of Earl Grey and lemon infusion; the summer cup will win you over, making it your favourite after work or weekend tipple!
“Ceelebraaate goood tiiiimes” with us at The High Field this summer in our new Party Tent! In addition to our two private dining rooms, we can cater to you in the comfort of our bloomin’ lovely gardens. While our team waits on you hand and food, you can enjoy a delicious meal from our BBQ menu, and wash it all down with our extensive choice of summer drinks. So why not make our stylish tipi your office for the day or a place to dance the night away.
4. The sound of summer
Hearing those songs that scream out “SUMMER!” make you want to grab your passport and escape to the seaside! We understand it’s not as easy as it sounds, so we’re bringing the music to our back garden to amplify that summer feeling. Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates on live bands at The High Field
5. The good ol’ British weather
All us Brits can be guilty of complaining – especially about the weather. So when it comes to the British summertime, we’re never too sure on what to expect! Therefore at The High Field, we are able to accommodate for all weather types. With our light and airy orangery leading out into the terrace, it’s perfect for the milder days. Then when we get lucky, the ample outdoor space will be ideal for the sun drenching days. Plus, don’t forget that “we solemnly swear that we will barbeque every Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday when the mercury in the thermometer is at least 20◦c”. Keep an eye on the thermometer gauge on our website for the latest Edgbaston weather updates!
